Sitting here, between my two fosters, counting my blessings & I am - TopicsExpress

Sitting here, between my two fosters, counting my blessings & I am so very thankful. Having to adapt & cope with my medical challenges has been a long rough road. Frequently, I am unable to even get out of bed, or breathe. I am overwhelmed by pain & weakness, I cannot move, much less follow thru on plans & promises. I have accepted I need help. And I have been blessed to have people in my life who understand that bowing to my restrictions is not me, and they come and provide support. Sometimes the smallest tasks are beyond my capabilities. But every day above ground is a good day. Every day i wake up a blessing. I am here. Gods not done with me yet. I am able to live my dream, be able to be a part of my community because others give so unselfishly of their time. My husband, Damean, who gets up an extra hour earlier to take care of our fur kids, & our 4 aquariums of fish. Feeding, pottying, giving vitamins, taking special care of new fur kid guests, all before heading to work, and comes home to continue supporting me. Who has accepted me as I am & tries his best to support me when hed much rather wrap me in bubble wrap, park me in a safe place, & not have to worry about me ignoring risks, of acting like I do not have limits. He did not have A dog growing up, now caring for anywhere from 3-7 at a time. Right now 5 & Tucker makes our 73rd rescue in a year. 73 lives that he has helped me care for, heard me give training advice to, driven for home visits and final placement. He has become a pro at dog washing, as well as healing broken fur babies hearts. Jessica Lynn Poljanac, and Latrease Caddell, my friends, my daughters by another mother...ing to my rescue, cleaning, driving, helping me with personal care, taking care of my fur kids & fish. Helping me rescue and garden, rearrange furniture, making me take care of myself, my home, my family. You name it these two are a force to be reckoned with, sharing their hearts & families as well as working their bums off! I cant even begin to count all the ways these two have blessed me. Dee Wilcome. Besides being a truly amazing woman, and best friend, urged me to create Pawsitive Support 4 You. Encouraged me to reach for my dream of making a difference & handling soooooo many details. Dee supports my decisions when I cant, is more than a friend, caring enough to make things safe so I can go be a part of the world. So many have not been willing to make changes so I can attend. She has been than a friend, a partner in animal rescue, more than a sister even. These four genuinely love, care for & support me, my home, my family. There are others, but today, for this moment in time I am counting them. My blessings. Have YOU recognized and counted your blessings as well as those who bless you?
