Sitting here in the shop and some lady (older) comes in with a paper she printed out from the CHP website. She says I am on a mission, in my head I think A mission from God?...she says skateboarders (in her head heathens) have been misinformed of the law. I had to chuckle and think again in my head ya think skaters really think about the law? Anyway, apparently all skateboarders have been informed that we have the same rights on the roads as bicyclists? Apparently we do not, it seems we only have the rights of pedestrians and we must obey the same laws. She wanted me to join her on this crusade to inform skaters of the law. She asked if I was concerned for their safety, I said no. Hahah.. I told her they dont want to listen to me at the skate park so if you think I am going to go around town and boss them around youre outta of your mind. I told her I bombed these same hills and I made it just fine.. Live fast, die young,,, I then said, hey do you know the county is burning down? find another crusade cuz its not happening here lady.. she left and wasnt very happy...however I will do my part... here is a tidbit from the CHP website concerning skateboards, rollerblades and non motorized scooters : Never enter the street suddenly or freestyle down your driveway. You may end up in the path of a vehicle. So there you have it, I did my part. Its a jungle out there so be safe m friends.
