Sitting here passing out candy thinking about Halloween when I was a kid. Halloween was the third biggest day of the year behind Christmas and Easter. We lived in a neighborhood with 40 foot wide lots. The sidewalks were jammed and you went hard until 9:30pm covering multiple streets and blocks. Everyone on the street had their light on and everyone participated. You took out your storm window or screen so you didnt have to keep opening the door. It was an event.
