Sitting here thinking about my daughter, Stephanie whos approaching teen age... Yesterday an incident happened where i saw my little steppa pepper get her feelings hurt by some friends one she always considered her best friend!!! she was so excited to see them, lit up when they entered the room... But what happened??? she had her first experience at being shunned and dismissed and housed.. As i watched her bow her head and sit alone without her best friend i couldnt keep my eyes off her.. I sent her baby sister to stand with her as i watched from afar.. Kayla returned and said Steph said shes ok.. But me being mommy i couldnt keep my eyes off her, for the entire worship service i watched my baby with her shoulders slumped, fiddling with her hands.... Eventually i couldnt take it so I fingered her to come.. When she came i saw hurt in her eyes..which almost made me weep but instead I wrapped my arms around my baby and kissed her preteen cheeks, than i offered her my cheek and returned the love... Smiling I asked was she ok.. And told her she was brave and Im proud of her and I love her, and to know weather Im on a platform or a stage she will always have a place next to her mommy and pointed to her available seat next to me.. She assured me she was fine and returned to her seat, with her head held high and a smile on her face.... I say that to say this... As a parent our babies will go through heart break, dissapointments, ect...and even though we sometimes cant dirrectly get involved and we can only watch from afar.. We still have to let our babies know..that when all else fails..when life is hard and they feel alone.. Mommy and Daddy will always,.always be there, and theres always always love in the bossom of mommy!!!!!.
