Sitting here thinking of our two horses still in Nevada being - TopicsExpress

Sitting here thinking of our two horses still in Nevada being cared for by our Son and Daughter-in-Law Joseph and Theresa but they will be here in the spring! Silky who came to us many years ago from Colorado and with ZERO hair on her body, could not come up this first winter due to the fact she did not hair up enough. But, since I talk to my family everyday, they inform me she is doing well as she has done every year since coming to MHR&S. I look forward to her coming up in the spring and since we will have a barn in the spring she will be able to spend her first winter in the barn wrapped up in her winter gear without the others wanting to shred it. Now Dublin who is 18.1 hands of love got an infection in his left hind leg three days before he was to make his trip up to Idaho. He was seen by the vet twice and there were no signs of trauma to the leg. Swollen and very sore, we were all puzzled. He was given a shot of long lasting antibiotics but was not responding. The vet was then called out again and now Dublin had to have shots daily for five days of an even stronger antibiotic and this worked. He is back to himself. Dublins front legs are jacked up due to over use in jumping events, but since all he has to do is be a horse he has had no issues. It is truly ashamed though, because this horse is amazing. He is an absolute love, and is so so gentle. He will travel to Idaho in the Spring and I so hope it will be Circle L Horse Transport that will be their Limo ride. We should be able to bring them up the week of May 1st. But, for now they are being well cared for and we appreciate our family stepping up for them. Stephanie :)
