Sitting here thinking why is it that when the police white or black (mainly white) or a white man kills a black man the black community can come together and have marches protest and riots and all this talk about how we need to stop the violence but our young black men are killing each other off in highly alarming numbers we never come together with the exact same reaction.. The first thing thats said is how the white man dont care about us!!! But why should he when we dont care enough about each other to unite as one race and come together to stand up for ourselves as a whole, young black men die on our Chicago streets everyday but no one seems to care, childhood friends are becoming a thing of the past because their dying in the streets of our city at the hands of old school mates who probably were considered friends growing up. I dont know about anyone else but I know I want better for our communities,I want my son, my nieces, and all the children to be able to go out and play without the fear that they may be shot or killed, Im tired of scrolling my news feed or getting phone calls about old friends being dead or turning on the news to hear that we have lost more black men and sometimes black women due to gun violence united we stand and divided we fall, we have to come together for the sake of our race or we will all fall..
