Sitting here trying to focus my day and my mind keeps jumping to my calendar. May4th: Daughter Lindy graduates from OSU, then on to PA School at UT, awesome! May 5th: leaving for Moldova and.....for Pastor training, cant believe God has involved me in this project of Hope. May 24th: My oldest daughter Caitlin is getting married, yep, how did this thing Life happen so fast. I can remember her laying in my chest at Riverside Hospital, holding her, dreaming, as a matter of fact and prayers, her wedding was one of those prayers. That she would find a Godly man(wasnt a Christian then) that would love her, that would be her Prince in shining armor, and Carson is that and so much more! I used to think, someday I will walk her down the aisle, and in just 1 month, that is what I will do. Ten 2 days later, I will celebrate my birthday, I will become the speed limit, wasnt a bad thing when we were talking school zone, or city driving, but now we are talking highways, bummer, man I am old. Where has the time gone? But, I have today in front of me, those milestone days will come fast enough, but I need to get ready, worry, prepare? Yep, but we do that one day at a time. How I live, love today will greatly impact all those upcoming events. Dont miss TODAYS blessings because you are worrying about TOMORROWS challenges. If we want BALANCE in our Physical life we must focus on 4 areas: breathing, sleeping, nourishment and excersize. If we leave one of these out, the body will be OFF balance and not function properly. The same is true Spiritually. To have BALANCE we must maintain these 4 things: Prayer, Scripture, Fellowship, and Serving others. If we miss just one, the wheel will be off balance. For me I find that I need to do all of these for Jesus to be seen in me! When I pray, when I take the time to read His word, when I hang out with my Gang of Brothers and Sisters in Christ, when I serve others, even if it is just random acts of kindness, that is when I feel close to Jesus. That is when outsiders see Jesus in me. Sometimes I miss the simplicity. My wheel gets out of whack! I allow THINGS to get me off track, I start looking to far ahead, I start focusing on the future and I miss the present! Really geeked up for my daughters graduation, my trip to Moldova, walking my daughter down the aisle and maybe even my birthday. But the best way to be ready for those big days, is by living today focused on the one true thing: JESUS. Today I will focus on seeing, hearing, being Jesus in everything I do. EGO: Exalting God Only!
