Sitting here with this song playing in the background while I write, I am feeling grateful for All of the Love that has swelled upon, around and within me this past year. I got to have reunions with Cali and Nebraska friends in Austin that I have not seen in years. And the wonderful thing about those reunions were, we naturally picked up where we had left off as if no time nor distance has passed between us. I also got to see family and friends in Nebraska and even made a trip back to LA to see dear friends and sing for a wonderful cause. And for those of you who think that social media is a waste of time,(ok some of it is) I was introduced to this wonderful, fastest growing motivational movement called #Besomebody on Instagram. And in that, I have had the opportunity to experience things Ive never done before, somewhat overcome my fear of heights, and connected with some of the most inspirational people around the world. When I think back to last year around this time, I was nearly in tears every day from the uneasiness of transition and change. However, I now realize that once I let go of that fear and allowed myself to surrender to what is, I am Stronger, while opportunities and people started to appear in my life to inspire and motivate me to keep going into an upward direction. And Ive even added the title of writer with soon to be Published Author. Life has the funniest and sometimes most painful ways to break you out of that comfort zone and show you what your are truly capable of doing. We all have such greatness within us waiting to be unleashed. Its just a matter of seeking, discovering, stepping into the unknown, learning to fly with new wings, and shining that beautiful light of yours throughout the World. #NeverGiveUp Its been a pretty good year.
