Sitting in the sanctuary of Edwards Road Baptist Church today celebrating its 50th anniversary, my thoughts ran through all the moments of my life that had taken place there during the last 34 years. Coming into that fellowship with our 4 and 6-year-old children, I found it to be a spiritual nest for them and a great source of encouragement, support and love for my husband and me. Looking up at the baptistery I could see each of my children being baptized there. I remembered each of their weddings as they stood done front and being thankful for their new spouses. I could feel the tears and grief as I stared at a tiny blue coffin and saying good-by to our first grandchild. I looked around at all the wonderful friends that have played such a significant role in my life. Looking up I saw the cross---how can I say thanks?
