Six Flags Ride Mechanics Win First Contract, End Boycott The mechanics at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom who are responsible for keeping the rides safe celebrated a huge victory this week when they finally secured their first collective bargaining agreement after being locked out of work for over a month. The mechanics, who are now proud members of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District Lodge 190, Local 1596, want to thank all of the union members and supporters who boycotted the theme park and joined the picket line during lockout.
