Six months ago today I had my life changing surgery. Surgery to remove stage four colorectal cancer (as big as your head) and give me a permanent colostomy bag. I cant believe half a year has gone by already. Some days are good and some days are not so good. I still have some cancerous tissue wrapped around my pelvis and tail bone and having chemotherapy every other week to try to kill that tissue. Chemo is exhausting. I never imagined in my life I could ever be so sick. I never knew anyone could ever feel so sick. Days can go by and I cant get up. Sounds great to have an option to lay in bed for days but believe me, its not relaxing, its frustrating and terrifying and its sad. Some days it hurts to cry. So dehydrated tears actually burn. I am staying positive that this cancer will soon just be a memory! I want to thank you all for your love and support and generosity. I am so thankful to you for everything you have said, done, baked, cooked, sent & given with your whole heart. I am so blessed, so lucky, so thrilled to know you. It feels like forever and only yesterday, I cant believe its been six months.
