Six years ago we were half way to Jax when we received the call that Alan has taken a turn for the worse and we had to come home. With a little help from our friend Lionel Higdon we made it to Northside before he passed. We ended up coming back for the game because Alan was supposed to be on the trip with us, but he was too sick to come. Every year this trip brings back bittersweet memories. But just like Alan the joker that he was, he always reminds us that he IS on the trip with us. When Gary was cleaning out the golf cart for the trip, he found Alans business card behind the cup holder. It had been in there 7 years????? We Miss him everyday!
