Skeleton Coast (Namibia), between Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbor. A wonderful day trip (4x4 only) and it is recommend to go with an expert guide. We left Walvis Bay heading South, drove initially on the dry bed of the Kuiseb River and then took the near sea route (waves on the right and dunes on the left). This is only possible to do during the low tide. Sandwich Harbor used to be several decades ago a fishing harbor and it is now a desert place, but worth the visit. On our way back to Walvis Bay, we took the dunes route, another amazing experience ... Wildlife in the area includes mostly birds, fur cape seals, springboks, jackals and brown hyena. And the wilderness of the Skeleton Coast is an amazing experience.
