SketchUp is a Fully Functional 3D drawing program that is Freeware. It is a VERY robust program and has a fairly steep learning curve. The basic help manual is a listing of all the tools and menu items that dont go into deep detail...probably because it takes NINE and a HALF Pages (of small font) just to LIST the INDEX of the tools and menu items!! I started the house by making the footings, foundation walls, then framing all the walls,floor and ceiling joists, rafters, roof sheathing,insulation,siding....JUST like building the REAL THING!.....LOL There are THOUSANDS of pre-drawn Items in the 3D warehouse for downloading to your model that you can adjust to suit. These were all drawn by different people then up-loaded to the warehouse for others to use.....you wouldnt want to have to draw EVERY component in your Model or you would NEVER be done!....LOL
