Sky Sports: Wisdom not expecting easy ride Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom insists gaining first-team experience at Championship side Derby County will be key to his development as a player. The England Under-21 international made his debut at right-back for the Rams during their 1-1 draw against Birmingham City at Pride Park, having joined on loan last week. The versatile 20-year-old, who is expected to stay at Derby until at least January, has already impressed County boss Steve McClaren. But Wisdom does not expect to be given an easy ride during his time at the East Midlands club. Working under (Liverpool boss) Brendan Rodgers has been a great thrill for me. He handed me my debut and Im very grateful for that, Wisdom told Sky Sports. But also coming here and working with Steve McClaren - hes a great manager also. Coming down and thinking because I played for Liverpool that its going to be a walk in the park, its not the case at all and the manager is first to remind me of that. (Its important) just keep working hard in training every day. Brendan Rodgers told me the same thing, to come here and work my socks off. Source: Sky Sports #amey
