#Sleep boycott. All week Ann Marie kept asking me if I would be ok staying in this antique house (a lovely B and B) all alone. Many people I met all day who knew where she was putting me asked if I would be okay. Her mom told me she had police who were going to do extra patrol all night to be sure I was safe. I thought it was the strangest thing ever. I travel alone all the time and stay alone in hotels. I am an only child so I spent most of my life alone. Why in the world would I not be okay alone? So then she proceeded to tell me about the railroad murder that happened here. So for effect, tonight she drove me by the exact place it happened and proceeded to tell me more scary details that she made up, because Ann Marie was having fun with this by now. I came back to the room alone and there is NO noise. Nothing. No tv. No internet. No ability to play my music. Just me. Oh, and the railroad that goes by like every half hour, accompanied by the strange noises you hear in old houses. Couple that with the fact that we realized the door wasnt really locked all day because we didnt really know how to lock it. Now we do though, so I assured Ann Marie I would be fine. So here I am in the dark, silent, complete aloneness except for the train. That train. Lol. Might be a little punchy tomorrow.
