Slept in my own bed for the first time since June 1 last night, and finally starting to get my head cleared from the amazing sparkle-fest-avaganza-saurus of this years Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend. There are so so so so SO Many people who make this event not just possible but *great*. Extra-double-special thanks to Joyce Tang and Desiré dAmour, who work with me year-round getting the dates, details, and dollars in order -- though i only see each of them in person a couple weeks a year, they have become two people Im closer to than just about anyone. Then theres all the coordinators who led the teams that did the work -- Jay Siren, Red Herring, Mynx DMeanor, Lola Spitfire and Sweetpea Tawnya Konobeck, Lola Martinet and Matthew Liang Chaboud, Kay Sera, Robert Best, and Desire and Joyce again -- and the producers -- Jonny Porkpie, Sweetpea, Kitty Irreverent, and Jefferson Arca. All of them put in dozens to hundreds of hours and heartsfull of love and it shows. And of course our vending coordinator and Legends signing organizer, Kitty Serena, who brought a suitcase full of hugs, and our ticketing manager Mae B. Caustic who mastered a new ticketing system and made it beg, and our stage manager David Equality Bishop who always makes the trains run on time (but in a good way), and Jo Weldon and Miss Indigo Blue, The TwirlyGirl representing BurlyCon, who put together the Finishing School, and Jo again for wrangling the judges, and Tigger-James Ferguson who makes the Legends happy, and Don Spiro and Ed Barnas and Freya West and Shan de Leers and Eva DLuscious and Laika Fox who handled photographers and press and video teams and the website and the Guidebook app and much more, and Holly Rebelle who made bowling awesome as always and Michelle Lamour and Franky Vivid and Lou Lou Roxy and Jason Croft and Chris Beyond and Nikki Knickers and Anita Brassiere and Skarlet Feverish and SassHerass Siren and our judges, Kaitlyn Regehr and Gina Bon Bon and ~Holly Madison~ and Dannie Diesel and Judith Lynne Hanna and Michelle and Lou Lou again, and Glen Chandler and Janelle Smith and Binky R Paige and of course Midnite Martini and of course Mig Phillip Law, and all the performers and Legends and emcees, and you were there and you were there and you were there.... What a feeling to click your sparkly heels together and find yourself still in Oz, realizing you were home the whole time! I love and appreciate you all and Im so thankful to have the opportunity to work with you and make this big crazy *thing* together. Thank you, all of you, for literally changing my life in so many ways, all of them for the better.
