Slight change in treatment plan. I met with the radiology oncologist this morning (age 13 to 15 perhaps LOL). Tomorrow I will have a localized CT scan for computer generated treatment plan (dosage, positioning, etc), and then probably Friday will be a run through to be sure that the positioning will be correct with radiation to commence the following Monday. Radiation treatments will be daily, Monday through Friday, for 31 treatments (not sure about Thanksgiving Day). It would appear that I should be cancer free by the first week of December. Instead of beginning chemo tomorrow morning, that will commence next Tuesday morning. I think this schedule change is a good thing since an additional week will allow the IV Port implant to heal better.
