Slow Fish Northwest Atlantic kicks off next month! The campaign - TopicsExpress

Slow Fish Northwest Atlantic kicks off next month! The campaign aims to connect youth food communities with fishing communities across major ports in the greater Gulf of Maine and Nova Scotia. Throughout October and November, students from 10+ universities & colleges will rediscover fish as food through a series of Slow Fish Workshops. Major concepts include: - Creating a new whole fish food culture; learning to fillet and make stock from leftover fish heads and bones. - Embracing underloved species of fish and choosing a balanced selection of seafood from all trophic levels. - Connecting with producers; sitting down at a table to share a meal with community fishermen. Slow Fish Northwest Atlantic is a fully youth-led campaign and represents an exciting new partnership between Slow Food Youth Network and Real Food Challenge.
