Slow Foods GTC has awarded Endless Summer Vineyard & Winery our Snail of Approval. Please send them your congratulations! https://endlesssummerwine/ You can also find their link on our website SlowFoodGTC.org Most of you have been to Endless Summer Winery during the first Cuisine from Around the World dinner featuring Julia Child. If not there at our Snail of Approval Awards Dinners. This little winery is the fruition of a dream Gary Roberts has had since making wine in his home. They use native muscadine grape and fruits in their wines that are made on premises. Their vines have another year I believe before harvesting to use in the process. Garys research into the muscadine grape has found it to be the oldest wine in the New World and produces in a winery Fort Caroline, near Jacksonville in 1565 by John Hawkins, pirate captain, and relative of Sir Frances Drake. Their creativity and the use of this ancient vine along with their practice of using native plants, plus the clean methods of growing and producing these wines in my opinion have earned them the Snail of Approval Award. Winery Wins GOLD for the second year in a row at the 2014 FINGER LAKES INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION IN NEW YORK STATE.
