Slowly but steadily the good guys in BJP and Congress are gaining in strength, and able to exert themselves over the voices of those who stall progress. The PMs constant endorsement of good governance is one example of this, but this is also slowly percolating downwards to local politics. There is clearly pressure on everyone to perform, and to set an agenda for measurable progress. This is one of the best things to happen as a result of the last three years of change in the country, If this keeps up for three more years, we will be able to have contests of policy in the future instead of contests of money and muscle.
