Small rant time: I love being a part of our Rainbow community, but it really gets to me when there are those who are in total support, but then when it comes to the crunch, theyre nowhere to be seen. Then, as if by magic, when its all over, they come out of the woodwork... if you cant be present, because youre still too scared youll be outed or become a target for abuse, fair enough, but SAY SO! dont give some lame ass excuse! And while I understand this point (to some degree) - when some cis-gendered gay guys look at our more flamboyant, and camp boys and say, why do they have to be so poofy? it makes us look bad, I just dont get it, what you dont realise, is that while youre flying under the radarand blending in quite safely, its the femme boys, the drag queens, the transgendered who are marching and making a stand for our rights as people. It may be camp, it may be loud, but their being loud, has enabled you to live your life in a little less in fear, so that when you came out, it wasnt such a shock. Youre welcome... Just a few thoughts Ive had recently... Agree or disagree - that is up to you :D That is all.
