Smethwick Sikh Temple 2-1 Hasbury Rangers Colts - A massive win against a strong team. The pitch was poor with a massive slope, we won the toss and opted to play uphill first half with the intentions of seeing the first half out. Unfortunately that wasnt to be, we went in at half time one nil down an individual goal from an opposition player who proved to be a real handful all game, but between the back four and Aaron in particular they kept him quite all game. The second half we woke up and started lively mainly to Kurtis who was exceptional today he won every header and every challenge and his hard work paid off heading in from a great delivery from Rahim. Not long after we moved Colin from defence and put him up-top and it immediately paid off, taking on three defenders and finishing from 20 yards out no chance for the keeper. Overall a real good performance a tough game we didnt performance as well as we would have like to but another 3 points and another step closer to the league title. Man of the match today was Kurtis a performance of the season in a game where the 3 points were so vital we needed somebody to step up and be the difference and he was the man to do it, a real team player who is an absolute pleasure to coach, gives it his all and always wants to improve. Well done boys.
