Smile. Youre in Spain! I am pleased to be back on Facebook after more than a week. Along with an assignment in the United Kingdom, I was graciously and mercifully allowed a few days of rest and relaxation as a tourist in Spain. Spain rocks! I love it there! Last time I was in Spain, in Castille, they couldnt keep me out of the tapas bars and beer gardens. This time the food theme in Andalusia was, Iberico Ham. Hahahahah! And yes, the beer is Spain is almost as good as the beer in Germany. It was so nice to leave frigid Chicago and dreary London behind for warm and sunny Spain for a few days. My British acquaintances even said they would gladly trade their relatively mild but heavily cloudy winters in England for the frigid temperatures of Chicago - but at least with a wide assortment of brisk, sunny days. To say nothing of the fact that during this time of the year, it is still nighttime until well after 8:00 AM in Northern Europe, and with the days getting even shorter over the coming three-to-six weeks! [ Just so all my Geeks know, I also was lucky enough to have a true Geek lunch with Z-Rem Sr., as he happened to be in London on his way to a conference in America on my very last day there. We had English-style Italian flatbreads, and some nasty dessert with a fancy name, which I do believe was simply a hard dinner roll cut in half, with Nutella and some kind of clotted cream in between. Typical nasty English fare. (And the English know it too.) Hahahaha! ] Over the next few days I hope to place parts of my Spain travel diary here. Which reminds me - I havent even completed my Denmark and Sweden travel diary from October, as promised. How time slips by so quickly! I came back home today exhausted; which means, Mission Accomplished.
