Snopes finally to the rescue on this one. Though we dont know for sure whether it was a private or charter school, it seems most likely that it would be a private school. Absolutely horrifying. The parent who saw it brought home quickly withdrew the child from the school - as they should have. What I want to say is this: there are some parents who are Christians and want their children to grow up with Christian values (or in some cases, they really are Christian) and though I dont necessarily agree with it, I understand sending your child to a private Christian school (or again, Im sure there are a few that are actually Christian). However, theres a difference between Christianity and hard Creationism - a big difference. Protestants generally dont negate science when teaching their children. Whoever made this test does. The school apparently is called Blue Ridge Christian Academy. Thats a shame because people on the internet are stupid and they may confuse this Blue Ridge with a particular Blue Ridge my dad is fond of. The school also subsequently closed due to a lack of funding, presumably because their ratings plummeted. Great! One more down, however many more who believe the bible and science can mix without major changes to go.
