Snow Performance has released a water/methanol injection system that has economy in mind. The system operates the same way the other Snow Performance systems, but has special programming and mapping to get the most fuel economy out of whatever vehicle your using it on. the MPG-MAX uses a highly sophisticated 2D digital controller that allows for small, yet steady spray patterns that net results from 1-3mpg increases or about 10%-15%. The key to getting more economy and power at the same time is all in the programming. Snow Performance has come up with specific mapping to allow the system to spray small amounts of water/methanol at anything higher than cruising boost. What this does is actually increase combustion efficiency in the engine giving you more power without injecting any more diesel fuel in the process. That increase in power is directly shown in the increase in fuel mpg and economy. When it comes time to use the MPG-MAX system for increase power, not fuel economy, a second stage system is used with a microprocessor that controls another larger nozzle and map for increased injection volume. The Power Mode for the second stage is adjustable to suit the needs of the consumer and help the engine produce more power without a combustion quench. Special features such as a brighter green LED light to display functions like boost, EGT, and injection pump output. Also comes with a 7-gallon reservoir tank and does not leave a signature in the ECU for the dealer to find and void any warranties you may have. With 50-100hp gains and 150-300 degree EGT drops, along with 2D mapping and separately controlled stages you have all you need for fuel economy and power right at your finger tips.
