Snydersville Results 8-2-13 Friday was a great night of racing at “The Ville”, with a record car count of 86 cars flooded the pit area. There were great racing battles between all 16 classes that ran on Friday. There was also a great crowd on Friday that was able to enjoy racing on the 1/8 mile dirt oval. We thank everyone for coming out on Friday and glad to see a great crowd of racers and fans fill Snydersville. The heats went very quick and they showed that we were going to have great feature event. First was our Kid Karts for their 12 lap feature. Jayce Brown and Shelby McLaughlin started on the front row with Katie Verwys and J.T. Dembecki starting in the second row. Green flag waved from our starter Bobby Stahl and the kid kart went racing. The Kids went 9 laps before their first caution with Jayce Brown leading in first and Shelby McLaughlin in 2nd. As green flag waved again Jayce Brown lead the rest of the way to take the win, following in second was Shelby McLaughlin, third was Katie Verwys and fourth was J.T. Dembecki. Our Next feature was the Rookie Jr. Sportsman. Cadence Freeman started on the pole with Tyler Longacre starting second. The green flag was out the entire race which leads to Cadence Freeman taking the win with Tyler Longacre coming in second. After Intermission we went to the Briggs Stock Light Class. Greg Frace started on the pole with Taylor Santee on the outside for the start. Green flag waved Greg Frace took off into the lead as Scott Arndt took over second from Taylor Santee. Scott Arndt held second for three laps and then Taylor Santee moved into the second spot and was on the move for the lead. Greg Frace was then being challenged by Santee for second but on lap 11 Taylor Santee took over the lead. She then led the rest of the way to take the Briggs Stock Light win with Greg Frace following in second. Finishing in third was Scott Arndt, fourth was Alyssa Fogel, 5th- Derek Conrad, 6th- Tyler Evans, 7th- Harry C. Bodine. Next was our Microstock Animal 206 class. Ted Harris and Eric Freeman started on the front row with Ron Farber starting in third. Green Flag waved which started there 20 lap feature. Ted Harris lead wire to wire taking the Microstock Animal 206 win with Eric Freeman coming in second and third was “The Mayor” Ron Farber. Next was the Mighty AllStar Slingshots for their 20 lap feature. Mike McLaughlin and Greg Zellman started on the front row. 2 cautions troubled the race to get a lap in but were able to get going. Mike McLaughlin went into defense mode as Greg Zellman was on his tail trying to get the lead but also coming into the mix was Billy Osmun in third. Another yellow flag occurred on lap 13 which bunched the field up for restart. Mike McLaughlin led them off for the restart with Greg Zellman in second. 5 laps later another caution occurred as Matt Massone and Kyle Herve were at the cause of the caution. This caution took out Matt Massone and Kyle Herve. Green flag came out with a green, white, checkered. McLaughlin was able to hold off Greg Zellman for the win. Following Zellman in third was Billy Osmun followed by John Drake in fourth. 5th- Tess Horvath, 6th- Matt Massone, 7th- Kalli Hartman, DQ- Kyle Herve. Next was Jr. Sportsman for their 15 lap feature as 6 cars took to the 1/8 mile oval. Gavin Santee and Hunter Metzger started on the front row as they took the green. No cautions troubled the race as Gavin Santee lead wire to wire to take the Jr. Sportsman win with Hunter Metzger finishing very close to Santee, third and also on the tail of Metzger and Santee was Sean Verwys, fourth was Jess Strohl, 5th- Zachary Evans, DQ- Chris Hummer. Next was the Little Big Jr. Sportsman. Cory Longacre took off into the lead as Jacob Goldt followed but after 4 laps Jacob Goldt wrecked which ended his night. This lead to Cory Longacre to take the win for Little Big Jr. Sportsman, second was Jacob Goldt. Next was Sr. Clone as they had 13 cars start the feature. Billy LaRue and Taylor Santee started on the front row with John LaRue and Eddie Geiger in the second row. Green Flag waved and Billy LaRue took off into the lead with Taylor Santee on his tail. After 2 laps the first caution came out which took out Taylor Santee and she retired for the night on lap 2. Billy LaRue and John LaRue were 1 and 2 for the restart . Stacy Santee who started third quickly moved into 2nd on the restart and Rich Mutarelli into third. Another caution then troubled the field on lap 7. Green flag waved and were able to get another lap in before the yellow was back out and the same happened again after the restart. The green flag was then waved once again and three more laps went by before the next yellow came out which collect Eddie Geiger and Rich Mutarelli. The race was then considered complete due to time which declared Billy LaRue the winner. Stacy Santee finished in second with John LaRue coming in third. “The Mayor” Ron Farber finished in fourth, 5th- Ed Spargo, 6th- Matt Kocher, 7th- Dan Lind, 8th- Emily Oswald, 9th- Jonny Peters, 10th- Scott Goldt, 11th- Eddie Geiger, 12th- Rich Mutarelli, 13th- Taylor Santee. Our Next Class was Briggs Stock Heavy. 8 cars started the feature for the first heavy race of the 2013 season. Jason Wolfe took off into the lead with Kevin Boyko running Flip Voorhees cars in 2nd and John Wolfe in third. It wasn’t long till Kevin Boyko took over the lead from Jason Wolfe on lap 12. Kevin Boyko was able to hold off Wolfe to take the Heavy win with Jason Wolfe in 2nd, third was John Wolfe and fourth was Bill Sube, 5th- Dan Miller, 6th- Moe Hunsinger, 7th- Gary Labar, DNS- JP Curry. Next was Novice Quarter Midgets with Kate Smith and Zach Smith. Kate Smith led the entire race to take the win with Zach Smith coming in second for the Novice ¼ midgets. Next was Controlled Stock Champ as 6 cars took to the track. Bob Wilson took off into the lead with Buddy Lord following behind in second and Lew Everett in third. 2 cautions troubled the race but Bob Wilson was able to hold the lead to take the win for Controlled Stock Champ, second was Buddy Lord, third was Duke Lasowski, 4th- Lew Everett, 5th- Paul Valent, DNS- John Van Gasteren. Controlled Stock Champ took the track next in the features. Buddy Lord started on the pole with Art Cronce Jr. on the outside pole. Green Flag waved and Buddy Lord went into action as he held off Art Cronce Jr. who was not far behind. Buddy Lord was able to hold off Cronce to the take the win but was then disqualified in tech, giving Art Cronce Jr. the Controlled Stock Champ Win. Lew Everett who finished 3rd ended up in 2nd, 3rd was Bob Wilson, 4th- John Van Gasteren, DQ- Buddy Lord. World Formula Microstocks took the race track with 5 cars. Billy LaRue took off into the lead with Jim Ackerman following in second and Ted Harris in third. After 3 laps second place runner Jimmy Ackerman dropped out of the race which gave Ted Harris the runner up spot. Billy LaRue was able to hold off Harris for the win but coming in 2nd at a tie was John LaRue and Ted Harris. 4th- Jimmy Ackerman, 5th- Harry Burd. Brigg Stock Medium was our next class. Kyle Kania took off into the lead with Chris Melchor following in second as Flip Voorhees moving from first to third. Kania lead the rest of the race to take the win by 3 second from Chris Melchor. Finishing behind Melchor was Jason Wolfe, 4th was Flip Voorhees, 5th- Derek Conrad, 6th- Harry C. Bodine, 7th- Rick Shive, DQ- Dan Miller. This race had no cautions and was completed in 3 minutes. Next was the Jr. Champ 1 and Jr. Champ class. Jessica Sigley took the win for Jr. Champ and taking the win for Jr. Champ 1 was Aidan Boucher and second was Jake Mason. 5 Open Modified cars took the track on Friday. Derrick Demott lead the field off with Billy LaRue following in second. Soon Joe Demott took second from Billy LaRue but Derrick Demott was able to hold off is father to take the win, Joe Demott finished in second, third was Billy LaRue, 4th- Greg Frace, 5th- Eric Freeman. Our Final class of the night was Honda 160 ¼ midgets. Andy Zall and Cody Motto held front row on the start and Andy Zall was able to hold off Motto from the win. Following behind Motto was Griffin Libby in third, 4th- Kayla Campbell, 5th- Cooper Libby. It was a great night of racing and there were some great battles throughout the night.
