So - Im loving all the stories about friends going with their families to exotic places for Spring Break and I know they all so deserve the break from work, sports, EVERYTHING. But I have a spring break story about a trip of a different sort - that brings so much pride and gratitude for the future generations of our Anglin family. Last Monday, 2 seniors, 2 juniors, 1 sophomore and 1 8th grader - 3 boys and 3 girls - all great, great nephews and nieces of my dad, drove 5 hours from Metamora, IL to Clunette to spend the first 2 days of their spring break with Uncle Jack. They wanted to go to Amish country, the cemetery, and Elevator and on Tuesday, they all sat around dads dining room table and just visited with daddy asking him stories of his youth and WWII. I dont know what prompted the trip - I know one of the Jr. girls was the event planner, but to think these kids would drive that far and spend 48 hours with their great, great Uncle who is 92 - just blows me away!! I LOVE MY ANGLIN ROOTS !!!!
