So 1 ½ year old Jazzy decided to go for a stroll in Brooklyn…did she wander too far from home? Did her owners not care when she didn’t come back? Whatever happened it ended up with Jazzy sitting in a cage at Brooklyn ACC longing for the days when she could breathe some fresh air, explore her neighborhood, and be around humans who care. She was not happy when she first got to the shelter though she did let them examine her as they needed to. She had a load of fleas so perhaps she was out and about for a bit rolling around in the grass. But other than the fleas, she appeared in decent health. And at 55 lbs, she can’t have been out on her own for too long. The folks who took her in for a few days had very nice things to say about her; housebroken, crate trained; friendly, “very good dog, would like her back” But Jazzy has not been happy at the shelter. When it came time for her behavioral evaluation, she did OK with everything but drew the line at that hand moving her food dish! She rushed to the strange dog entering the room but not in an aggressive manner. But being young and pretty doesn’t count for much at ACC and they’ve got her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list and they made her New Hope only meaning only a rescue can pull her. Tonight, Jazzy needs to find herself a new family—a family that will take her out to explore (albeit on a leash!), a family who will show her and teach her all the grown up doggie things she still needs to learn; a family who will be there for her no matter what. In return, she’ll give you a gazillion doggie kisses and you’ll love all those folks taking a second look at this beautiful girl when you’re out and about! Are you that someone? If you are, step up to foster or adopt Jazzy-start applying to rescues. But do it right now—tomorrow will be too late for Jazzy and she’ll be gone forever. She is New Hope only so please contact a rescue now to help https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=656834807662735&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&theater TO BE DESTROYED - 08/17/13 Brooklyn Center My name is JAZZY.
