So 15 days after purchasing a $3.6k mattress from Haynes Furniture, I finally received my iPad mini (free with a mattress purchase over $1999). I wont bore you with the entire saga but the long and short of it is that I purchased this mattress and it is not comfortable to me. Although I was misinformed by more than one Haynes representative, I am unable to return this mattress for any reason. Yes, after 30 days but before 90 days, I can exchange it for some other mattress in their inventory. Yep, you read that correctly, I have to attempt to sleep on this uncomfortable mattress for an additional two weeks before I can do anything about it. Now the interesting thing about this is that my receipt clearly states that I understand, in the event I make a return and my total mattress purchase is reduced to a total less than $1999, I will be required to pay $345.00 for the ipad mini or it will be deducted from my refund amount. If returns arent accepted, why is this statement even on my receipt? Additionally, this promo has been running for a while and continues to run. I would venture to say that Haynes is getting a nice discount buying these ipad minis in bulk. However, they want you to pay $345.00 for this item when it is sold directly from apple for $249.00. WHAT A CROCK!! Incidentally, i have taken to my own FB page to compose this rant because two of my complaints on their FB page mysteriously disappeared. Three things I would like to throw out here - 1. DONT RELY SOLELY ON THEIR FB PAGE TO DETERMINE HOW CUSTOMERS REALLY FEEL ABOUT THEIR INTERACTIONS WITH HAYNES. 2. READ THEIR BBB COMPLAINTS BEFORE CONTEMPLATING A PURCHASE FROM HAYNES FURNITURE. 3. IF YOU ARE STILL CONSIDERING MAKING A PURCHASE FROM HAYNES FURNITURE - BUYER BEWARE!!
