So, Bill Pendar has nominated me for this 7 interesting things about me shinanigans & seeing as Ive never been nominated for one of these things before, Im doing as Im told for once as well...So here goes... 1) I left school prematurely ( I just stopped attending because it bored me ) and so I have no formal qualifications. 2) I always dreamt of playing music & traveling around the world & so set out making shit happen despite been told that it was unrealistic. 3) I used to get gigs & arrange tours overseas from the public telephone box at the end of my street. 4) I ended up meeting, touring with & playing for many of my musical heroes from when I was a teenager. 5) I once got deported from the USA for smuggling two big suitcases of band T-shirts & attempting to play music without an entertainment visa. 6) I spent one third of my life ( so far ) living in Tokyo, Japan & Im no where near done with my travels yet. 7) Whilst in Japan, I rekindled my love of physical fitness after living a Rock n Roll lifestyle for years & competed in over 15 Marathons, climbed Mt. Fuji, & got into CrossFit style training, nutrition & mindset mastery - my gateway to further life adventures still to come ; ) I think I have to nominate 3 more people to do this damn thing now ( I wanted to nominate a lot more but... ) so I decided to go for an international cast of characters living in Japan, Sweden & the USA respectively & nominate Colin James Ainscough, Gary Hardy & Sophie Dangerfield ... Also, if Im allowed another one I nominate my sister Claire Welch from good old blighty; )
