So Call Me The Bad Guy But I Do Not Play About School Not With My Son Or Daughter Its Serious Business In The Duncan Household: I come home from work two evenings in a row to find my nine year old son playing with his xbox instead of doing homework. The excuse is Dad I left my homework in school in my desk ... No problem Son so I look at my watch its 4:30pm I call his school which is a 5 to 10 minute walk from my house and wouldnt you know it his teacher is still there. I speak to the teacher who checks his desk and the homework is not there now I am mad because he lied to me. I went downstairs and unplugged the video game system and sent him back up to his school as his teacher was waiting for him to give him his homework from last night and tonight. When he gets back he will do both homework assignments and he will start on his science project due Monday and he will read some of his book my wife bought him but he will not play no video game. My homeboy said I am being to hard on him and to think of when I was his age and I did ... I did not lie to my mother, I took school seriously all the way through high school and even in college ...I am not a slacker and he will not be one either ... he does not have to follow in my footsteps but I will give him a foundation to build upon so he will be a productive young man and hopefully a productive upstanding man education is the key its a must now in these times ... a high school diploma does not get it anymore ... its a start but college is paramount and he can be in Law Enforcement but get a degree and become an Federal Agent not a foot Cop like Dad ... I just want the best for my boy .... am I too harsh or hard on him Facebook ????
