So. Call me a dick. But, I dont like giving my session files out from my studio. And its because in this age of digital audio, all it takes is having one session from an engineer, and you can have their method in one fell swoop. I spend a lot of time on my personal presets and virtual rack setups and plugin chains and such. No. I do not want to share. I worked long and hard, and have subjected my ears to countless hours of various types of audio to ensure I have the sound I dig. This is why outboard gear helps ensure those big time mixers/producers lock their sound and you cant replicate it. For those of you who think this is selfish, think about it this way: When you go to a restaraunt, do you get to know the recipe of the food youre eating? Hell no you dont. Sure, you can tell the basic ingredients, and maybe theyll tell you a few of the pieces. But youll never get the whole recipe. Not without paying a premium (probably not even then). So, I have finally found a solution. And its awesome. You can have your sessions for security, and I can keep my recipes for my own professional security. Win Win. Unless you like ripping peoples mix swag. Then this sucks for you bro.
