So Christmas is over! Firstly I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy 2015 and secondly I would like to help you with that. With the January health kick well underway your body may be wondering what is going on? Be sensible with training and remember that stretching and good form are 2 key factors in keeping injury free and flexible. I have just finished a really interesting stretch session where I used Fascia Stretching Techniques (FST). These Techniques are used by holding a slow steady stretch on the muscle to help lengthen the fascial sheath which is a thin layer of tissue surrounding each muscle that runs in trains throughout your entire body. This technique is one where you will instantly notice the benefits of feeling looser and more mobile. We can work from top to bottom, lengthening traps (which feels amazing), scalenes, pecs and open up the shoulders, down to the quads, hip flexors, hip adductors, lumbar spine, hamstrings and gastrocs!
