So, Dennis wanted to buy me a new pocket camera for Christmas to use when were birding and hiking. He wanted me to choose between a Nikon s9700 and the Sony HX 50V. Im a Nikon girl, but Im willing to try something new to see what it can do! After reading all the specs and reviews, we decided to try the Sony. There were several Best Buys and Walmarts between home and Cabelas on Saturday. It only took three Walmarts, Cabelas, Sears and three Best Buys to find the camera in stock! It was a looooong day! I have until January 15th to exchange it if I dont like it. Thats a plus. Were standing at the bar yesterday morning, and he announces that I have to wrap my new camera and put it under the tree. Im pretty sure he saw deer in the headlights eyes looking back at him. Then he says, I will allow you (ALLOW YOU) to open it and charge the battery so you can take pictures Christmas morning, and you can just open that first. Im still stuck on him allowing me to do something that I was most definitely going to do anyway. Just sayin! How very sweet of this man who knows me SO much better than to say something like that to me. LOL So, here are a few pics I took yesterday and this morning with my handy little camera. The jury is still out on this model, but Ill know by January, because Im shooting my happy little heart out! Thanks, Stud for ALLOWING me to choose such a nice Christmas gift! Cant wait to see what that other thing is that you have for me under the tree!
