So Florida is trying to pass a bill about texting and driving where if the offender kills someone while texting and driving and attempts to render aid to the victim the offender will serve 15 years in prison and if you dont render aid you will serve 30 years in prison. How is it then that a DUI is a misdemeanor and if you kill someone while drunk you get 10 years in prison? Seems a little harsh when compared to our DUI laws.
