So... Friday I was officially hired into Quest. I am considered on call(or PRN) Its a step up from temporary, but similar to a float phlebotomist. I will be covering sites as needed. My boss advised me that I will not have benefits, YET, her exact words...which means that when a position becomes available for something more stable, she encouraged me to apply for it. This was just a way to get my foot ALL the way through the door and gain some more experience...since they hired me straight out of school. I feel so blessed for this opportunity. And I feel as if none of it would be possible, had April Harkey-Mason not told her boss(which is now my boss) that I was worth giving a try. I am thankful for April every day I go to work. I worked really hard to get where I am, and good things DO come to those who persevere.
