So, Google releases the Motorola Google Nexus 6 and latest Android - TopicsExpress

So, Google releases the Motorola Google Nexus 6 and latest Android 5.0 is finally out and Named Lollypop... Lets have a Chitchat talk about The Nexus6 and other upcoming Flagships like One plus One, Moto X 2014, Sony Z3, Note 4 and Yes our very own much awaited... Mi4..!!! When it Comes to pure specifications and that Stock Android experience the Nexus6 certainly seems to be the Best ever Google has ever provided. So it would not be wise to compare Nexus6 with other flagships on that basis.. So lets divide this Comparison into certain critical... 1. Display - 2014 has brought in 2 things for Mobile manufacturers as an absolutely must point... Full HD and minimum 5inches. But then just flagships stretched that limit to 5.2/5.7/5.9/6 inches... Just bumping up screen size means a lesser PPI and lesser PPI means poorer outdoor visibility... Now Motorola has been making great displays.. For example Moto G had a bright HD display for a 4.5 inch screen that gave it outdoor visibility better then many other devices out there.. But the 2014 5inch bump gave that HD Moto G display a poorer outdoor performance.. Well with Nexus6 they just didnt simply bumped the Fullhd 5.2 MotoX display to 6 inches but they made it a QHD display.. Full marks to Motorola over here. The Note4 ,Xperia Z3, M8 have all kept the Same display resolution just bumping up a few 0.sumting on their screen sizes. The Oneplus One is an upcoming company and it still needs to work on its white balance. The Mi4 has somehow managed to get the same performance as Mi3 but its still not an update. Processing power - Almost all Android flagships face the problem of heating issues. When the 2.2ghz Snapdragon 800 was launched many Manufacturers overclocked it to 2.3 while some over clocked it to 2.5 calling it a snap dragon 801. Please understand here over clocked processors sound good on paper but they end up using more power for any task then it should actually heating up ur device and giving u a poor battery performance. Best example I can think is of Redmi1s... It is the same 1.2quad core snap dragon 400 chip set of moto g overclocked to 1.6ghz. All those in this group who have rooted and under clocked their devices to 1.2/1.4 have got their heating issues solved. Now talking about the 2.7 snapdragon 805 chip set on Nexus6 its the same 2.5ghz 805 processor overclocked. Mi4 did really well here to keep the 805 chip set to 2.5ghz while Z3 has actually under clocked it for longer battery life and Note 4 well the India version gets the cheap Samsung exnos processors which I dont recomand at all. One plus One somehow due to its software faces freezing issues. Camera - Well to start with Sony is the best among Androids, simply bcoz half of them use Sony lens themselves in their devices.. Motorola has never been able to get a mind blowing Camera ever from the start and so has been the case with the Nexus devices. The google camera is slow when processing its effects and filters and its rear focus and other filters have pretty much been a hit or miss. Mi4 and One plus one have both been using Sony lens. While Z3 improves its 20.7mp camera module.. Note 4 gets more marketing filters and setting to its camera u r never gonna use. On paper the 13mp camera with image stabilizer and 2.0av Nexus6 looks a pretty decent one. Moto X still struggles indoors and under low lighting conditions. Multi tasking and Software experience - Personal preference plays a big role in deciding a winner here. Note4 has that multitasking window, while others dont. But some may find its touchwiz boring. Mi4 has new refreshed MiUi which most of us love while some use google launcher to make it look more like a google devices and have that app drawer. The Xperia Z1 ,2 and 3 have all been the same. While Cyanmode on One plus is loved by its followers. Look and Feel - Mi4 , Z3 , HTC M8 , Moto X and the Nexus6 are the real competitors here. If I had to decide a winner it would be hard for me to choose between Z3 and Moto X here. Now last point is it really worth to upgrade from Nexus5 to Nexus6 ?? Well 3 things that were not so good about Nexus5 were.. Speakers (they did have a low volume) , Camera ( it wasnt bad but it was just an okay one.) And lastly the battery life.. Yes it was terrible. Well Nexus6 has managed to solve those issues while the camera part yet has to be seen and checked but still its front facing speakers and a 24hrs guaranteed battery life.. Are already a great update to Nexus. Having said that if u didnt feel problems with ur Nexus5 but just were bored just wait and update ur device to lollypop and enjoy it. If you find 6inches to big you can always opt for Moto X. Last but not the least..... Price point.... Well Mi4 wins here. End of the story...!!!
