So I am about 1/2 through the book Atlas Shrugged. Id heard the name a bunch, so I picked it up at the library. Unbeknownst to me, this is apparently a big Tea Party book. It started off a little slow, but it kept my interest. It has now gone off on a big socialist takeover of the government and how the whole world is falling apart, so I get it. I see why people who want really small government would thump this book, but REALLY? This shit is SOOO out there. The scenarios are SOOO outrageous, and the characters are SOOO comic book character like. This is obviously a work of fiction... from the 50s! That being said, I hope they drop the stupid love affair and pep it up the pace for the second half of this behemoth.
