So...I am on the side of the cops, with regard to looting and vandalism... anyone who has followed my feed can look back and see that... However, I dont see any looters, or vandals here.. these people arent even rioting... this is the textbook definition of a peaceable assembly, which is protected by the first amendment to our constitution. The media covering this event were ordered over loudspeaker to shut off their recording devices. (an order which they ignored) No one in the crowd appears to be armed. So, under what legal justification did these officers fire tear gas, flashbangs and rubber bullets in an attempt to disperse this crowd? Is there a police officer in my feed who can explain this to me? As far as I know the only legal justification to proceed in this manner is to declare martial law. Is that what has happened?
