So I bought a collar and cowbell for Maddy today so she can free range on the property once in awhile...tempted, I put it on her and let her go. She immediatley found the green grass out by the road and stayed there the rest of the evening. I was enjoying a glass of wine on the back deck dozing off in the eveing sun when I heard the neighbor getting her skijooring dogs ready for a wagon ride. Within the time I had for my boots to hit the deck..she was off down the road...my four dogs in chase. With owl eyes and a rigid stance...Maddy spat out her grass and my 1000lb horse joined in on the stampede. Four dogs..a woman and her go cart...and a horse with a large cowbell tearing down the side of my property line. I cringed and awaited for the mass destruction....I opened my eyes and just saw a large dust cloud envelop my animals at the end of the property. A lil jingle of the cowbell and four wee doggies emerged from the dust.....phew...close one!! I laughe my ASS off!!
