So I came home tonight to my Upper Darby community near Cobbs Creek Park to find three cop cars right outside my house with a cop attempting to frisk a young man (Black, Asian - too hard to tell in dark) in what may have been an illegal pat-down. I stayed in my car but with headlights shining on the scene. Cop stopped what he was doing. Gave the youths papers back to him, and they let him go and eventually pulled away. My neighborhood is totally racially mixed with an overly aggressive police department headed up by a former Philly cop who seems intent on making a name for himself. We cant get police to do basic traffic control to keep kids in the area from being hit by speeding cars when they are playing in the street, but our local cops can corner a man with mental disabilities and shoot him 21 times just because he backed into one of their cars while trying to get away from them.
