So, I feel compelled to update since my post a week ago. Its hard to believe its been a week already. Lance Walley continues to be treated for this horrible staph infection at Albany Medical Center. The progress is SLOW at best. Although the anti biotic is doing its magic, it will take 42 days (32 now)more 3 times a day thru an iv port. Hes had so many ups and downs thru this whole ordeal that its amazing how well hes handled it. Numerous unpronounceable pain killers reduce the pain but knock him out making mobility close to impossible. Todays feat ----have a pain management specialist help us figure out how we can get him home without the pain. Cant get him home until hes mobile! Thank goodness for the friends and family who have been here for the duration! Special shout out to Loretta Nerney and Ally Nerney who are nurses on another floor and made an appearance at one of our weakest moments to date. Their medical expertise, compassion and chocolate chip cookies were the perfect medicine!!!! Lance has smiled at each and every card so if any of you want to keep them coming just message me for our address. I believe in the power of positive thinking and prayer so thank you for keeping them coming. Oh, and streaming Pandora on his iPhone is keeping him from killing the roommate from hell playing his TV all day and night at the loudest volume.
