So I finally go to finish Gotham last night and how was the mid-season premiere? All in all not a bad episode. Im still waiting for an episode to match the magic of The Penguins Umbrella (although the midseason finale came close) but Mondays offering was a solid one. SPOILERS FOLLOW! Im kind of liking Gordon being relegated to Arkham. Of course we all know it wont last long, but it makes for a good story and you know when he returns to being Detective it will be because of some act of heroism and hell have huge public support making it difficult for the mayor to keep him down. The lovely Morena Baccarin made her debut as Dr. Leslie Thompkins and I look forward to see what role shell play in the world of Gotham. Bullock is really evolving as a character and I like it. I have to wonder if Penguins plan that landed in a holding cell was because of a poor decision or he was testing to see what he could get away with and what parts of Maronis organization he could push. Gothams version of The Electrocutioner was introduced and its an interesting take on the villain. Im interested to see where they go with it. Ugh Barbara is just stupid. I was really hoping shed stay gone for a bit longer and frankly if she is the Barbara that Jim winds up marrying with a mom like that I can see why Jim Gordon Jr is so screwed up and if they go the route of the comics why Jim cheats on her. Just wow shes a mess. Ivy is a devious little thing. I hope we see more of her in the future, and what did she mean when she said shed had enough doctors? Hmmmmm. For those of you who have seen the episode how about that ending? It was cool to see Butch get a bit more depth and when he said Brothers dont do that I kind of saw what was coming but it was effective and moved that story arc along in a logical way. All in all I like this episode just like I said waiting for Gotham to have that episode that everyone talks about again. What did you think of this weeks Gotham? -Wildcat
