So, I finally sustained my first work-related injury today. Before anyone panics, no a slicer was NOT involved. I was putting some deli cheese away in our cooler and banged my hand against one of the sharp edges of the metal racks we have in there. It took off some skin at the base of the fingernail on my right index finger. Just enough to start bleeding. You know how whenever you hurt your hand, everything you do after that irritates that wound? Thats what I was worried about more than anything else. Luckily, the rest of the day went by without further incident. So I put this one in the win column.
