So I get a letter home from my youngest daughters school, thats in 3rd grade, saying that if they dont finish their work assigned in class on time it will be entered into the gradebook as a zero and must still be completed and turned in or they will lose recesses or field trip privileges. On top of that all homework sent home must be returned the following day or they will get a zero on that as well! Lets see here I am a single working mom that doesnt get off until almost 6 pm and doesnt get home until after 6 has to get dinner done and help not just 1 but 2 kids with homework and they send home at least 4 pages of math a night that most of the time I cant understand or help with and a huge reading assignment that takes at least 3 days to do! We are up until 10 or 11 at night trying to do this stuff! On top of that my 3rd grader struggles with reading so she gets frustrated easily, now tell thats fair to her???????!!!!!!
