So, I get this question often “Spicoli, how’d you and you S.O. Emily meet?” May 6th 2010, Sokol: 30 Seconds To Mars. We met, I charmed her, she told her friend “it’s going to be an interesting summer.” Towards the end of June, she stopped calling me her “man-friend” and started blushing when I asked her to be my “boyfriend”. You learn a lot in relationships, you try new things, meet new people, you evolve, you discuss boundaries, we argue, I bottle up, (I don’t know why I bottle up, I work in radio, I’m a communicating master) but she finds a way to bring me down to earth and fix the problem. You also support one another, I’m so proud of her work ethic and her passion for doing hair. Everyday she’s booked full, listens to her clients needs, has an INCREDIBLE eye for detail and rocks the cut. I think I’m more proud of her than she is herself. ( I also think it’s funny whenever I say something about Emily on the radio, her clients will come in and tattle on me!) To be honest, I’ve never been good at relationships, two years and I’m gone. . . but tomorrow the calendar is circled in red June, 24th… “THREE YEARS” and I like where this is headed. The ol’ joke in our relationship is she came for Jared Leto and got stuck with Spicoli. So, who’s the real winner?!!?
