So... I had a riding accident and broke my rt. clavicle about a month ago. The ortho Dr. originally said it would be OK w/ out surgery. had a re ck 2 weeks later and the bones had separated to the point he said it would need to be plated. He did the bone plating, 4 days later I was in horrible pain and we discovered the screws were backing out and the plate was moving. 10 days ago he did a 2nd surgery and so far everything seems better. Im bored, and frustrated, and stir crazy. Im not allowed to do anything- cant even feed my horses. My husband has been wonderful thru this whole ordeal, but Im a horrible patient. I used to ride endurance, dont compete anymore- but still have endurance rider friends and consider most to be true horse people. Has anyone else had an injury like this and how long did it take to get back to normal?
