I have a married couple I help on the weekends, and the wife has severe Dementia to the point where she just calls out random words/phrases, but the husband is completely spry. Well today, I witnessed a scene straight out of The Notebook. The husband was spoon feeding his wife and she was muttering to herself, and then she sort of came-to for a few seconds and answered the husband appropriately and I kid you not, the husband said, Ahh, there you are! Ive missed you, sweetheart! It was beautiful.
