So I have a question, hoping that some of yall who have babies of mixed race will be able to give me some advice. My daughter, Xiomara, whom is mixed with Mexican & Black, has been telling me that she wants to be white, seeing that she lives with my family & I, who all are light. It hurt my feelings to hear my daughter say that, because in my eyes, she is perfect. I love her curly hair & I love her caramel skin tone. She may look nothing like me, but thats all me right there. I told her she is brown & brown is beautiful, but she tells me she wants to look like everyone else in my family. Has anyone else had any issues with this?
